TOKYO (AP) Once Japan's leaky nuclear complex stops spewing radiation and its reactors cool down, making the site safe and removing the ruined equipment is going to be a messy ordeal that could take decades and cost hundreds of millions of dollars.

The cooling system has been reactivated at the No.6 reactor, thanks to restoration of electricity supply. Its temperature has dropped to around 40 degrees Celsius, according to the plant operator, Tokyo Electric Power Co.
Japan continued efforts to avert a nuclear meltdown Sunday, shooting tonnes of water into two reactors in the stricken Fukushima nuclear plant and succeeded in restoring power in another reactor as the toll in the quake-tsunami mounted to 7,700, officials said. Workers succeeded in putting water into Reactor # 4 at Fukushima's Nuclear Power Plant.

Japan Nuclear Melt Down
Final Warning

Japan is having a melt-down. The damaged reactors have over-heated, and the water around them is boiling. Each hour that ticks by is a race to contain what has already become a major blow to global economics and is well on its way to becoming the worlds worst man-made disaster. In the United States, the EPA is setting up additional monitoring systems in California, Alaska, and Hawaii, to measure the degree of fallout set off by the continuing radiation leak from Japans reactors. Fallout is expected to arrive in the Aleutian Island and the California Coast by this weekend.

Workers Back In The Nuclear Power Plant!
While thousands of people have been evacuated due to high risks of radiation near the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, a small group of 180 workers are risking their lives to help prevent a major meltdown.
The group of nearly 200 technicians, reportedly labeled the Fukushima 50 because they work in shifts of 50, are likely being exposed to massive amounts of radiation.

Japan nuclear situation 'serious but stable'
The situation at Japan's damaged nuclear power plant is still serious but does not appear to be deteriorating, the United Nations nuclear agency has said, after emergency workers took drastic action to avert a meltdown.

Workers abandoned Japan's quake-stricken nuclear plant on the verge of meltdown Tuesday when increasing radiation levels made it too dangerous to remain.

Inside the evacuated Fukushima plant about 50 workers had been struggling to keep pumping seawater into the reactors to avert a meltdown of the nuclear core that could spread large-scale contamination.

Tokyo Electric Power Co.s stricken Fukushima Dai-Ichi nuclear plant was today rocked by two further explosions and a fire as workers struggled to avert the risk of a meltdown. France gets more than three quarters of its electricity from 58 nuclear reactors operated by state-controlled Electricite de France SA, Europes biggest power generator, which has plans to export the technology to the U.K. and Italy.

Japan Earthquake: Radiation Leaking After Fukushima Nuclear Plant Explodes!
Radiation has spread from damaged reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant following an explosion at one unit and a fire at another, Japanese government officials said early Tuesday.
A spokesman for the government said radiation levels at areas around the plant are high enough to pose a health risk.

[NOW]Fuel Rods Are Now Exposed, High Risk of Meltdown!
The Japanese authorities are working as hard as they can, under extremely difficult circumstances, to stabilize the nuclear power plants and ensure safety, read a statement from Yukiya Amano, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency. The nuclear plants have been shaken, flooded and cut off from electricity. Operators have suffered personal tragedies, he said. But the reactor vessels have held and radioactive release is limited.

[Earlier]Fukushima Explosion:
[At Bottom]Video of the second explosion at Japan's Fukushima Daichi (No. 1) nuclear power plant since the 9.0 earthquake and subsequent tsunami devastated the country. This apparent hydrogen blast involved the plant's troubled No. 3 reactor. A similar explosion happened at the No.1 reactor at the same plant on Saturday. Both blasts tore the roof off of the affected structure, but are believed not to have damaged the reactor core.
Authorities again urged residents in a 20-kilometer radius around the plant to evacuate.
The IAEA confirms that the explosion occurred at 11:01AM local Japan time, roughly two hours prior to the time of this blog post. Here is a related overview/update from the IAEA about the status of Units 1, 2, 3 and 4 at Fukushima Daini nuclear power plant.

Japan is suffering majorly with possibly one of the worst disasters ever put to gether in a a set of days! With many aftershocks damaging other Power Plants, chances of non-meltdowns are close to zero. This could turn into the "Chernobyl" event. If you guy don't know what that means. It was a major nuclear power plant explosion in 1886 which deformed/killed many people. Still today no one is allowed to visit the place due to radiation exposure! This can bring up the U.S's economy. Though thats the only decent thing from this.

Japans' third nuclear power plant is about to blow, reported by CNN
Japan is in deep shit right now with the Nuclear Power Plant's out of Emergency Back-Up Power, the outer protector core blew up, & the temperatures are rising highly due to being exposed. With thousands of Japan Citizens being evacuated. Without the Electricity the Power Plant no longer has water to cool it down causing it to over heat. Getting to meltdown point. Which will destroy a huge radious of Japan & cause a Fallout around the world. There are also reports of the Plant being 2,200 Degrees F. It can go across the globe, because Radiation travels far. As in a lot would hit the Western Hemisphere & some on the Easteren Hemisphere. The chances of stopping this catastrophe are dimming... If this happens to melt down, were looking at a Fallout.
Like one comment made on this post is that in fact England has sent Cooling Devices to stop this from happening. But, they have not arrived yet, & it would take way too long to cool the Power Plant down. Pray for a miracle.

How this Effects The United States of America:
An American nuclear expert says radiation from Japan could spread across the Pacific and reach the United States if a complete meltdown occurs at a Japanese nuclear facility damaged as a result of last weeks earthquake and subsequent tsunami. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

The nuclear power plants should be okay as from what I have heard the UK and US are both sending cooling systems over to Japan to control the reactor. There may be other countries doing the same.
