HAHAHAHAH He Needs A PROPER Reflow Or Reball AND NO SUCH THING AS A SCALER CHIP SO YOUR WAY OFF....

ALSO: This error is caused by a cold solder joint under the GPU, (H)ANA-chip or in between.
Mostly it is one of the outer solder balls on the side facing the (H)ANA chip so a shim increases the chanced of success quite a bit.
Can also be a component that is missing or damaged so look for missing parts near the GPU and the (H)ANA chip.

sinist3rcircus wrote Go to the store, buy a wagner heat gun and thermal paste, open up ur xbox. Now thats the hard part. Clean of the huge clump of dust that piled on your sinks and board. take off the X-clamps and clean off the gpu and cpu. Then take that heat gun and on low go on the back of the board for 1min. Then flip it over doing the front nand chips, cpu and gpu for 5 min on high. wait 30min re-apply new paste put it all together. PUT IT IN A NEW SPOT! Or the ghetto way. Stick two q-tips in the back of the fans. Wait until that 1 red ring becomes 2 over heating. wait 30 minutes and wahlah E74 gone. If you have any questions Aim: Sinist3rcircus. I fix alot of Xboxs. Don't ship it out its an easy fix.

HAHAHAHA HEATGUN REFLOWS... ONE OF THE LOWEST IN QUALITY TYPES OF REFLOWS... YOUR JUST GOING TO WARP YOUR BOARD....

Wow, out of the hundreds of E74's I have ran thru, I have NEVER seen E74 caused by missing components.

95% of the time it's just the GPU. Don't waste your time with that crap, send it my way and I'll do it for $40 shipped..
