So I have been playing MW2 on xbox since release and recently bought a ps3 for GoW3. Now that I'm done GoW I was thinking of buying MW2 for ps3.

Is there anyway you can set the controls on ps3 to mimic the controls from the 360?

I've only watched it once on ps3 and I saw shoot/aim were R1/L1 instead of the 360's layout of RT/LT but didn't take the time to look through the options to see if it was able to be modified.

Thanks for your help on this one.

Well they are two different controllers. MW2 does not allow you to fully re-map the controller layout. Simple answer: Buy an xbox again.

I still have the xbox I'm just bored of it and paying for online. Plus alot of my friends have recently purchased ps3s. I've read briefly that you can "flip" each controller setting thats provided for PS3 version. Both controllers have the same total amount of buttons and are generally the same layout just spaced differently.

I just wish someone that has the PS3 version could confirm for me if there is a setting they provide that mimics the xbox360 layout for MW2

I own both and the only thing I know you can do on PS3 in change the layout to tactical. I have tried to make the changes as you are looking for and can't find them either. Now I was told there is an aftermarket controller you can buy for PS3 that has the button layout like you want, again I have not found it yet.

Good luck, if I find something will update.

Thanks alot man. If you get a sec can you check to see if there is something in the default options that says "flipped" I read on some form that you can flip each of the controller settings meaning flip the triggers.

You are correct in the options menu(in game mode) for controller you can pick other and there is an option call "flipped", or "tac flipped" both will change from LB/RB to LT/RT.

Excellent. Thanks for confirmation man.

So are the other buttons the same if I use default flip? X jump , O crouch, SQUARE reload, TRIANGLE switch weapon, R3 melee?

Then the R2/L2 is shoot/aim and R1/L1 gren/equip?

Correct, unless you change to tac flipped. then O and R3 are swapped.
