How do I activate my account for the free weekend?

It still says: This account isn't allowed to play on xbox live.

MajorNelson tweeted this yesterday: For those that asked, the Xbox LIVE Free Gold Weekend officially starts tomorrow (Friday Jan 28th) @ 12n ET/9a PT /1700 GMT

So how am I activating it?

According to Major Nelson the free weekend should have started 16 minutes ago but nothing so far...I guess their just activating it....
