The best tip I could give would be to bond with your horse as quick as possible. Additionally, make sure you keep food in your inventory for yourself and your horse. You'll get in some real hairy situations which require a boost to your health, stamina and dead eye, as well as the horses health and stamina.

You'll pick up a lot of valuables when looting the dead or houses, such as pocket watches. I don't believe these become sell-able until about chapter 2 or 3 if you stick to doing the missions and stay in the area the missions are in. It was only when I got to a town called Rhodes, I was able to sell valuables to a merchant on the edge of town. General Stores won't buy valuables.

The earlier you level up your own health, stamina and dead eye as well as the horses health and stamina the better. It's vital in my opinion. Ensuring you have a good stock of Gun Oil is important too, your weapons will degrade relatively quick if you use them too much and giving them a clean can be the difference maker.

Keep contributing to camp, don't go wild on spending money on camp upgrades until later in the game but keep the food and skins, valuables coming into camp and you'll do well.

Looting is key, ammunition can be difficult to get early in the game due to having like no money so if you kill a guy, loot them and you'll likely get a few rifle or revolver cartridges.

There's also 2 very basic money glitches of course it's personal preference and ruins the games economy but nonetheless exploiting is always a way to ensure you have the best gear at all times for you and your camp. This game is hard and even with the loads of money you can get it'll never down the intelligence of the AI they are brutal and will kill you fast as hell outside of missions if you ask me the money just eases the pain lol.

Glad to here you getting it man, personally the best game I've played lol. Yeah, I'd get the normal edition as the collectors is so expensive now due to it being sold out, in UK anyways. The other two posters pretty much covered the basics to get you started, but yeah, if you want money fast, go do the gold bar glitch. Just search on YouTube Red Dead Redemption II gold bar glitch, click the first video and your good. It's been said, but I'll say it again, make sure your always fully stocked on Tonics, food, ammo, for you and your horse. Treat your horse well, and she will take care of you. I would recommend trying to find which I believe is to be the best horse in the game at the moment, the Arabian White horse. This is a wild horse so you don't have to buy it, there's many videos on YouTube also. But if you literally go up to the mountains north west of the map, find the lake Issaballa, the horse will spawn there. So worth it and was one of the first things I did on the game. I have a Discord server for Red Dead Redemption II, if you want to talk more about it, you can join [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] also feel free to add me on Xbox Tag: ShowTimeMikey. Have fun man, you gonna love it.
