They did not like jetpacks, they thought cod was always the same and never tried to do new things, etc. Now that they get what they want, they somehow find a way to complain about it. And then people go on to blame the developers for not listening to what the people want. They listened and they changed the game to be what the people want.

your out of your mind if you think the majority of people think blops 4 is a good game its straight trash, they have deluded the game and made a massive pile of shit with all the specialists and dumb ass equipment to use.

only thing that looks good about this game is the battle royal and no one is sure how thats going to play out since cod has no bullet drop off or anything real about the game. The beta shows that multiplayer was rushed for sure, its a copy and paste from bo3 in many ways so all there time has to be going to lame ass battle royal and just to jump on the band wagon but sure everyone has there own opinions right.

First off, its not an opinion that the majority of people who played the beta liked it, that is a fact.

And second, have you ever made a triple a game? Have you ever made a game that was profitable? Have you even made a game before? I am going to assume your answer is probably no, but I could be wrong. And even if I am wrong about that, what I am about to type still applies. Making a game is not as simple as most people think it is. I agree that some of the game was copied/pasted. But that does not negate all of the other work that was put into this game. All new maps, new guns, new ui, game mechanics, etc. And that is just to make the game, then you have to think about everybody who is not the game developers but is also involved... marketing, effect creators, voice actors, etc. Even something as simple as making a gun is not that simple. Someone has to make the 3d model, someone has to record the gun shots, the gun needs to be animated, etc. To an outsider who has never made a game, it may look simple, but there is a lot of work that gets put into everything.

Sure the game was rushed. But if they waited until the game was perfect to release, it would never be released. The game has been worked on for three years, and if you take into consideration how much work has been put into it, it is pretty impressive what they have been able to do in such a little amount of time. And besides this is the beta. The game is pretty much finished, but they want to have the community play it for a while and give feedback. I highly doubt the game will change that much regardless of what the community says about it, but they will make certain adjustments to make the game more enjoyable.

Nobody is ever going to make a game that everyone will like. It will just not happen.

If you still think that most people do not like BO4 then please don't waste your time responding because I won't. And sure you may not like the game because it is not your style, but the game is far from trash.

All I'm gonna say to that long ass response is the community is still hugely split. Just looking at the YouTube trailer, 373k to 223k is pretty awful. Not as bad as past cods maybe, but it's still nothing like it would be if they made a game that the community truly wanted. Even if reviews are considered "good" that isn't something CoD should strive for. They should deliver nothing but excellence like they have in the past, but clearly time has made them go from one of the best game series' to one of the most hated on.

I agree that the 373k:223k ration is pretty bad. But it is a step in the right direction.

BO4 has been in development for atleast three years. I think the devs do listen to what the people want, but it just takes a long time to implement.

For example, "jetpacks". The last game that Treyarch released was BO3. The game before BO3 was Advanced Warfare. AW was the first COD to have "advanced movement". So that was the first chance for the community to respond to "jetpacks", and they responded negatively. Considering that BO3 would have been in development for two years, they could not have had time to go and change everything to boots on the ground, so they stuck with the jetpacks. After BO3 more people complained about jetpacks and said they wanted boots on the ground. After the people complained about jetpacks, Sledgehammer(AW and WWII devs) removed them from the game. The same thing happened to BO4.

My point is that when a game has been in development for years, it is really difficult to make drastic changes to a game. This means that some things may not get changed until the next game.

The community does not know what it wants. Like I have stated before, they got what they asked for... boots on the ground, something new and innovative, etc. But they still complain about the game. And as stated before no matter what the devs do when making a cod game, there is no way to please everyone.

The only thing that COD could do that I would see as being universally accepted is to remaster MW2...

Those are really good numbers. And I assume that if MW2 were to be remastered, it would have the same ratio if not better. But COD can not make remastered games forever. They would eventually have to make a new game and we would be right back were we are now. And even though the ratio would be good, I doubt they would make as much money on remastering a game as opposed to making a new game.

And saying that cod has only delivered excellence in its past game is not entirely true. When those games were popular, there were many things that people hated... trickshotters, noob tubes, etc. There is always going to be something for people to complain about.

Now you are making things up. Aside from me typing about the ratings on reveal trailers that get posted on youtube, I only typed about youtubers in one sentence... " And in that sentence, I literally state that "I will not take them into consideration." That means that I do not care what they think.

The definition of a forum is "a place, meeting, or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged." If you have different views about something then great, I may disagree and I will share my opinion. If you think that pepperoni pizza is better than cheese pizza then great. I do not think that is true and so I would argue my view on the two pizzas. But once you start to make statements that are not true, I have a problem with that.
