Plenty of my friends have told me this is a super rare player icon, do you guys know if this is true or not and how exactly you obtain this icon?

EDIT: This is exactly how to get the Player Icon, you had to of signed up for the Fortnite Newsletter which came out for a few days - a week sometime within Novemeber so you had to be one of Fortnites first players in Season 1, the problem is that Fortnite has so many players now that it would be to hard to send the newsletter out so it got discontinued straight away - this means that the banner is more than likely never coming back which will probably start to make it a very rare icon soon

You could get the icon when he game first came out, with like the founders pack etc. You can no longer obtain this badge.

Yeah, there is no way at all to get it now. The players that got it at the start are the only people that have it.
