If the Disc drive is empty it could be 1 of 2 things. 1 the HDD has failed this will result in the clicking sound most of the time from others I have fixed for friends. or the fans are not spinning so its shutting off to avoid over heading the click can be related to the cutting of power.

I managed to take apart my PS4, i noticed that the fan barely spins when i try turning it on. Perhaps it's my power supply?

It's possible but its really uncommon for the PSU to go on a PS4 the fans spinning at all mean its getting something, power supplys don't just kinda go they normally just stop so that kinda opens up more questions really.

Make sure there is nothing blocking any of the fans PS4's take the cooling very serious if it detects even the smallest issue it will shut it off or go into a lower power mode to avoid over heating.
