It's happened to everybody, but Epic are aware of this and have responded on their forums that this is being investigated at this time.

This has been happening to me way too much, on top of the random controller vibrations. Hopefully the patch address both of these issues.

Happens to me all the time. Very annoying, gets me killed in gun fights

It happens to me and my whole family. Like last weekend, we played for 24 hours and our guns kept deciding that they were done and starting floating, but it is easy to fix just switch to your harvester
