If its going to be campaign only then they really are turning into a crap company that doesn't listen or even care about the community that actually play the game. If they don't have multiplayer in MW2R then there isn't a point for the game to come out honestly. You beat the CoD campaign in a day. Who is going to buy a COD to beat it in a day and never touch again?

I'm certain that MW2 Remastered will have multiplayer how else will they make money, this is just a dumb rumor I can't wait for the trailer so people can see.

It's not really a rumor it's true to a point. However it will have it anyways at some point of another.

Cod 4 multiplayer was simple compared to modern day shooters which made it a great ADD On with there more complex MP from infinite warfare
But MW2 Mp also had more complex multiplayer more like the modern day shooters so i would be surprised If they added it
But If they do even better

I don't see why infity ward wouldn't add a multiplayer mode if remastering the game.

Doesn't seem like a move they'd make.

this is just my opinion
but i think it would take the focus away from the main game and thats not what they want to do mainly mainly becaus the new game will have dlc and the remaster probably wont
