You like painting? I'm thinking about trying to paint my 83 camaro z28 and 92 s10. I'm also thinking about going to school for it too.

I do really enjoy painting, however I never went to school for it. I practiced for years just getting the right technique. Obviously, don't practice on customer/project cars, I had lots of extra body panels I always used. But I'm sure going to school for such a thing will go much quicker and possibly teach you better / faster techniques. Good luck man!

Yea I'm sure I got a couple of body panels around here that I can practice on. What brand and model paint gun did you use? Also are you getting your paint online or buying it locally?

This is a link to the gun I use: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Also I buy my paint locally but I mix it myself to get the color I/customer wants.
Also thank you everyone for the feedback! It was definitely a big big project and took quite some time.

THanks for the link to gun; thinking about purchasing one and starting a spray shop after work for my dealership. They agreed to allow me to do it in their shops as long i supply my own tools.

If you are a beginner, I would not recommend getting that gun, as it can make things complicated if you don't use proper technique, and it's just a rather difficult gun to use, if you're looking for a good starter sprayer , I'd recommend this: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Use the 1.8 gun for primer, then use the 1.3 for paint.
I still use these, but I downgrade them over time. I'll use them for paint at first, then after about 2-3 cars I'll downgrade it to just primer, then downgrade again to upholstery adhesive, then finally to the trash. But they are fairly good guns and they're a good starting point if you're looking to get into auto painting.
