So after 2 months of research and lots of advice from this website, I finally decided to build my first Computer, Ive manage to finish 95% with my dad, but stuck now in the cable stuff. I almost wanna cry!

these are the parts I used.

Case: Corsair Air 720
motherboard: Asus PRIME Z370-P
CPU: Intel i5 8600k
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060
Powersupply: Corsair CX 550
Watercooling from Corsair + lots of other fans
Storage: 1 TB SSD and 10TB Harddrive

So I've been stuck for few days, the powersupply have lots of cables and so does the case, I manage to find most of the cables fit the motherboard. There are still so many cables that the motherboard has no place for, example from the powersupply, it has 3 different cables which have no place for the z370p motherboard.

From powersupply
x2 PCI-E
3x yestone p01001

from the corsair air 740 case
POWER SW
POWER LED -
POWER LED +
LED SW - and +

So where did I go wrong here? is it because the motherboard is cheap?

I have taken photo of everything

(POWER SW) (POWER LED-) (POWER LED +) (LED SW - and +)

Everything is included in the powersupply so cant remove them

Just to addon something which I forgot to add... Yasterday i turned the computer on, everything was working from GTX 1060, cpu, powersupply, everything worked, apart from HDMI. So when I connected the HDMI cable to a monitor, nothing happen as if it was dead. However the PC was on, all the fans was spinning including water cooling and the GPU. however HDMI or USB would not work. which means I have done something wrong.

Also my motherboard the Asus Prime Z370 p does not have all the ports, or maybe I am too dumb to see it.

Ok, so not every cable from your power supply will need to be plugged in. They are they if you have additional things for them.

You should only plug in your actual motherboard the big ATX 24-Pin,
EPS12V (Which are 2 4 pin connectors side by side. Then you just run your sata power cables
to your graphics card, SSD/HDDs, and if you have a optical drive.

The rest of the cabling is case to motherboard.

The 24pin is fixed, also I have connected the GPU and CPU to its cable. hard drive so on are easy to know which cable. However there are additional cables which has no place for my motherboard, me and my dad have been looking for the past 2 days, maybe we are blind, but the Corsair Air CX 550 with the z370p was a big mistake.

If you search ASUS PRIME Z370p. You can see in a photo that it has less ports than other z370 motherboards. Its really hard.

Okay, so first of all, you have a non-modular PSU. So you're not going to be utilising every cable coming from the PSU. I mean, there's a molex on there and I legitimately don't know anyome who has used molex in the last ~5 years.

You need to plug the 24 pin in for motherboard power, CPU 4+4 pin for CPU power, PCIe for GPU power, SATA power to power your storage obviously, and then SATA Data so you can actually use it. After that, you just have to make sure all necessary fans are connected and plug in the front panel connectors so that you can actually turn the system on and what not.

So, what actually is your issue here? You're just not seeing a display? Because if that's it, I can pretty much guarantee you plugged HDMI in to the motherboard instead of GPU..
