Anybody know why I'm reciving this error too?
I'm following the steps correctly, when I switch between the accounts after disconnecting internet, i too receive the 'Server rejected our connection request'. I've tried now so many times, just cant get past this one bit.
I've reset my xbox like some have said, restarted the game many times, unlinked my account with my controller like somebody has suggested, still not working.

Got it to work by using a different controller

Just look at my new thread, updated it with a new method that works for me every single time.
