Well, I finally left the terrible world of console gaming and went to PC, seems to be so much more customization and overall better.

The PC i bought i paid $400 for it runs all my games i currently play pretty well. Im sure there is room for some improvement.

The current specs of the pc are below, Please comment your thoughts on the price i paid and what upgrades you think i do to improve performance.

Specs
Corsair Carbide 88r mATX case
-FX 6300 Six Core @ 3.80 GHz
-MSI GTX 1050 Ti 4GB
-MSI AM3+ Motherboard
-8.00 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM
-1TB Hard Drive 7200RPM
-500W Solid Gear Power Supply

I'd upgrade in this order

1st Purchase
SSD

2nd Purchase
PSU

3rd Purchase
CPU
Motherboard
RAM

That CPU is going to let you down performance wise. But for a quick and dirty "performance" boost, not in games mind you, an SSD would be a smart purchase here. That PSU needs to be replaced. The CPU, Motherboard and RAM will need to be done in one hit.m

What would benefit going on the SSD? The OS and what else?

Games will load faster, and maybe even some programs.

from the research I did the GPU isn't pretty good, what kind of CPU/motherboard recommendations would you say? Nothing crazy high in price.
