Hey! So I have been playing guitar for a few years now, although I play electric. I would spend closer to the 100 in your price range. Even though you are just starting, you want a guitar that is decent enough to learn on. I would shop used. You can get some decent used guitars in that price range. All the known brands are a safe bet. I mean, they're popular for a reason; name brands usually make quality guitars. Try looking on facebook market or craigslist. As far as practicing, just learn on youtube as others have said. I am a self taught guitarist as well! Another piece of advice is to learn the songs you love. This sounds obvious, but if you try learning all the chords and notes, you will drive yourself crazy. Learn a bunch of songs you like, that is the best way to learn guitar! Hope this helps. If you have any other questions, shoot me a dm! Check out my profile if you want to see me play some guitar too
