The website will have the latest up to date drivers.

You have 2 USB cables (wires) as such that you can plug into your machine. They have two in case your USB slot doesn't provide enough power to the keyboard. For example if its a weak USB 2.0 port.

Most machines (mobos) will shout at you if it doesn't detect a keyboard on boot and will 'post'. Meaning your machine will do a series of beeps if it detects something is wrong/missing. Error such as:

If we are pointing our fingers at the keyboard being potentially faulty have a look into your consumer warranty.

I just got another blue screen saying
'Kernel Mode Trap'

I guess it wasn't my keyboard but what I'm not understanding is why did it work perfectly yesterday and not now?

Rebuild your machine. Get yourself an image of Windows 7, 8, 10 - whatever floats your boat and rebuild your computer.

There has to be corruption somewhere. The faults your getting don't have any correlation with one-another.

Other than that, make sure your BIOS has the latest update. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Have you got a port on the back of your motherboard saying 'FLASH BIOS' may be a green port or something similar.

Long story short, download the driver to an external USB pen and plug the USB into that port. Fire the machine up, load into the BIOS and find an option to flash said mobo.

I have no experience in MSI boards. I'll help as much as I can

I recommend not flashing your bios if you dont know how to get to bios. Just because if you mess up, you could potentially have now bricked your computer motherboard. Anyways, lets start over. I just want to know a few things before I continue throwing ideas at ya. You said you went back to Windows 8, did you do a fresh install of this leaving you with no data? Do you know the name brand or the model of the ram?
