My cousin was working with me and he got his paypal limited with about £100 in there , he lied about his address and surname so he made a fake id passport and uploaded it to PayPal.

Is he going to jail lol? We live in the UK, he said the passport and bank statement looked legit and guessing paypal cant check anyway as they don't have access but has anyone else done this?

I highly doubt he will go to jail.

Most likely just not get his money back.

People do this a hell of a lot. PayPal are 99% of the time fooled, so no he most likely won't go to prison lol.

If PayPal were to find out, the possibility of a ban of his account is pretty high but jail? Highly doubtful.

Yea, he more than likely isn't going to jail because paypal does not want to waste their time trying to get him arrested, say if he were to steal money from someone through paypal then yes he probably would but for doing that most likely not.

They just send it to collections and send papers to set to the house on file, but they might not even do that for 100.
