Rims wrote Hey TTG, I'm looking for help on what internet options I should choose for gaming. There's really only one provider in my area worth dealing with, I'd just like to know which option is best. I'm 19 on a tight budget so the best bang for my buck is a must. Both of these options are internet only, no tv or phones. The first one is $70 a month, unlimited data, 400mb down, 40mb up. The second one is $100 a month, unlimited, 1gb down, 50 up. Both come with a year of Netflix as a bonus. I'm wondering if the first option will be good enough for gaming, If I don't need the more expensive option I'm not going to get it. Don't know if it matters or not but the router will be right next my Xbox in my room but probably wired anyway. I'd like to not experience any lag whatsoever if possible.

This ISP you're talking about, is it Comcast? I only know 1 ISP that offers a 1Gig DL and 50 Up. I have 1Gig down and up from AT&T for 70$ USD and change, with no monthly cap. GREAT Service.

the $70 a month for 400mb is more then you need, I pay more then that and we only get like 150 and I thought 150 was really good!

400mb download seems REALLY overkill.
