Savitar wrote Okay, but I never said he was a bad fighter without steroids. I'm just saying that he was using them. Which is the thought that matters regardless. Cheating is cheating, even if you're naturally gifted or good at the sport you're playing and using steroids in.

You implied he wasn't one of the GOAT, which is ironic because he probably is the GOAT except for maybe Anderson Silva or Georges St-Pierre. Judging on pure skill, nothing to do with his record or how hard he hits. Jon Jones is undeniably one of the best fighters of all time and probably the best.

So Jon Jones, who took an extremely weak steroid that increases recovery time and allows him to have more energy throughout the training season is as guilty as someone who uses abuses painkillers just before they fight so they can't feel punches or get submitted and then wins because of it?

Cheating isn't cheating, there's different levels and it's completely relevant what his skill level is. He dominated Daniel Cormier, it doesn't matter if he used a single, very mild steroid or not. That didn't effect the fact that Cormier didn't block a kick to the jaw and got knocked out as a result. The steroids were obviously for training purposes and they probably weren't even in his system when he fought Cormier.

Do you know what steroids he was taking? And when he took them? He's thirty and this is the first time that he's been caught in his whole career using steroids. I wouldn't be so quick to judge him for using them his whole career, although I do believe he has, that's because of several other factors and my personal opinion of doping in sports.
Yup, cheating is cheating. I don't care if he took the weakest steroid ever. He still took them. I don't need to write an essay to explain that. And fyi, he took Turinabol which is a steroid use to gain muscle and it's not cleared for human use. And didn't he fail a pre UFC 200 drug test to help mitigate the side effects of steroids?

If you're going to try and lecture me, at-least use the correct facts.

Turinabol isn't used primarily to gain muscle, it's used to promote red blood cell count, promote nitrogen retention, increase protein synthesis etc. It's used for endurance and not to build muscle, he would have used Tren, Anavar etc if he was trying to gain muscle.

Why would someone who's in perfect physical condition for his weight class (93KG and very lean) want to gain more muscle anyway? He fights at light heavyweight for a reason.

And of course it's cleared for human use. Humans have been using it for decades and understand the drug perfectly well. Athletes have been using this stuff for years.

They didn't mention steroids. Just that he'd potentially broken an out of competition anti-doping policy violation. I highly doubt that they'd only ban him for a year if he was caught using gear.

There's really no point arguing anymore since it's just down to opinion. I don't see how you can say that a 23-0 light-heavyweight who has dominated anyone that he's ever fought isn't easily a GOAT. I assume you don't actually watch MMA or you've just watched the occasional fight here and there, anyone with any MMA knowledge knows he's one of, if not the best.

I'll just end this on a quote from Dana White (President of UFC) which he said yesterday

Dana White wrote In my opinion, hes the best ever to do MMA. Hes the best ever. That makes it even more unfortunate.

But apparently according to you he doesn't even deserve a place in the GOAT.

K, you say I'm wrong yet you just proved to me I was. I said he wasn't ever going to be one of the GOATs because I don't like cheaters and like I said, you can take the weakest steroid ever and it's still cheating, hell, even if he took it when he wasn't even fighting. We can agree to disagree but I don't get how you don't understand that.

I can't believe he was using that stuff and got stripped from the title, such a horrible feeling.

Really is a waste of talent, don't at all agree with people that do steroids but it is there shitty choice to make, and cheat so yea, it really isn't worth it in the end.
