What is the point of paying for insurance if you don't use it? I get not using it on little things but this is gonna cost a lot

G-59 wrote Update, I got quotes. One place said $950 without replacing my scratched headlight, another said $2250 for everything, and another said $823 without replacing my bumper and headlight and $2240 for everything

THATS OUTRAGEOUS. Looking around for body shops. someone will do it for cheap. i work at a dealership and we get cars in like that situation you're in and our body guy we use will charge around $300-$600.

It all depends on how you want it done. If you just want it kinda sorta close (everyone thinks it's normal but you can see the difference) it will run you probably $1k for the hood and bumper in my area. If you want it perfect then they'd fill the scratches, spray the pieces and do a 60% overspray on the vehicle which would easily double the price.

I don't do automotive stuff, but I spray wood. If you came in with your dresser saying you wanted a scratch fixed I'd tell you our shop rate on that is going to be $250 without color rate. Now if you took that piece off and made it easy for me to where I don't have to mask it off then I'd cut it down to like $50. An autobody shop would do the same thing, if they don't have to mask anything off and it's a day turn around they will cut the price dramatically. They get it in and out fast and it takes up very little space. If you were to take off the bumper and hood and give it to them I know it'd be cheaper. Another thing to look at is how much would it be to get all new parts pre painted. I got a bumper for $390 for my brothers 2013 Mustang pre painted to match his car, a fender for $320, and a hood for $1200 (custom hood), all pre painted to his color.
