Sooooo...he's buying an OS for more money - while also it being a CD and not having an optical drive? There's also little reason to have 2 1080p monitors with a 1080 Ti. If they were 2 1440p at 144Hz, I would be inclined to agree, but right now, that's two TN panels @ 1080p.

OP: I made this edit in my previous post, but there is a slight conflict of information that is needed for the build to adjust a final total. Do you need just a headset (mic is with them) or headphones AND a mic? I really can't fathom you needing 2 mics, that will have 2 different qualities; one being a headset, the other being an external mic.

I needed a headset with a mic attached, Sorry that wasn't clear enough. But I'm considering about 3 builds right now and Adam gave me a little bit cheaper build so I have more room to upgrade in the future.

Please post his build so i can see what he gave you

Reasoning for choice of build

With the 1600x, you get the clock speed bump from the 1600 just to give you a tad more FPS in gaming. Nothing too much but if you don't want to overclock, it'll come in handy.

The H100I will keep it cool and I suggest mounting it on the roof of the sweet case. It's a bit expensive but its a very nice case. I would also contact Corsair just to get an AM4 adapter from them. They might want proof of purchase.

The motherboard is fine if you don't want to go SLI [2 GPU's] in the future. Else, you could buy the X370 variant of that board.

That RAM is proven to work with Ryzen and seems to work best with it so you'll have no issues getting that up and running.

I have thrown in a 250GB SSD for your boot drive and some games. Then a 2TB in there for mass storage like videos ect.

The 1080 is a solid performer and shall do you on the games specified. If you want, you can go for the 1080ti to give you a bit more performance. I would do this if I were you but it's an extra 200$ ish so Il leave that with you.

The Powersupply is more than enough for your build and will remain silent throughout its lifetime. You can also add custom cables to this powersupply if you want to snazz up your build.

The monitor is a 4K IPS panel [exactly the same as I use funny enough]. Shall be fine for gaming. Just can't do none of that 144Hz stuff.

Both logitech mouse and keyboard should link up to G Software so you have more control over them.

I got you a decent set of headphones to round off your build.

Lemme know if you have questions / thoughts on this.

You said you had a budget from $3,000 -$3,200. If you were not wanting to spend so much, then why didnt you make the budget lower?

I wanted a good PC but after hearing what this 2k pc could do I decided this may be a better choice than spending 3k, I'm sorry for the inconvenience but I also told Adam $3.2k budget and he came up with this.

Just because people have that money doesn't mean they need to spend it all.

I felt that with the information given to me, a little bit more than was said on the post, this was a suitable gaming PC for what the user needs. I could have burned it all but that's not the point.

The 1600x with an OC you included will not perform as good as a 7700k will. A 1080Ti on average will perform 40% better then a 1080, the SSD will only fit a few games bigger games at max on it then he'll be stuck with HDD loading times. The cooler isnt that great a kelvin s24 would be a better choice. That case has poor airflow and in summer months will suffer. 90 for an OS, get it off kinguin for 30, and some of the peripherals are not that good honestly. Also if he decides in the future he wants a second 1080 when higher refresh rate monitors become mainstream he'll have to replace the board for an x370. Also speaking of that if he decides to go sli in the future as well he'll have to get a different power supply because the one you provided will not be enough for the hardware.

Egh. Really, we doing this? Finnne

1600x has 2 more cores, 4 more threads which in rendering count. 2-5 more fps isn't worth the loss of cores and threads.

Thank you, you confirmed performance info about a 1080ti which I suggested the user to get.

Cooler is fine. You high? I went for this because I have installed them in systems and I know they work just fine. 2 degrees difference doesn't make a cooler "not that great"

Airflow is fine in that case. I had the MATX version and never had issues at all.

250GB SSD will fit the games he specified and more on it including OS.

To cover your motherboard issue -

I think your a bit mad because it didn't go your way. I suggest reading what I've posted before getting your knickers in a twist about something that doesn't need to be a big deal. I've been supporting the OP in the shoutbox and over PM for a couple of hours now. I would prefer it if you didn't go around trying to find issues in my build, of which, im sure there are a few but I've covered pretty much all of it in my lengthy discussions to him of which you wasn't part of.

Bye.

I'm not upset lol, i'm just saying what he's missing out on, which is a lot tbh. Most games dont take advantage of cpu's with more then 4 cores as well.
