Hey guys so, im not entirely new to building computers but by no means am i an expert. I took the class in high school for it but didnt pay too much attention in it. no i didnt pass but i still know the basics. uh so yeah, lets save the sappy shit and fast forward to now. so i bought a computer from a guy, yes used omg why, look everyone has their reasons. me? money. bills. it was $100 i figured why not. so anyways. its running an msi 970 board with amd fx 4300 running at 3.8 ghz, yes i know its tech from 2012. it has 11 gbs of ram, weird number i know. and a 1 tb hard drive. yes i know just the one for a gaming pc weird. anyways first thing i wanna do is upgrade the ram, ive been looking at the ballistix elite set which is decent for me. ive never been big on brand name shit. but i figured id see what you all say to upgrade first. i was saying upgrade ram, but then i kept looking at storage space. then i kept thinking about the graphics card. its not the best but its not the worst. its definitely better than my laptop. i havent done a lot on the computer yet for only having it a day. but so far i like it. im used to a laptop only running at 2.4 ghz and the graphics turned all the way down and still playing at 20 fps.. opinions? oh and one of the usb ports fried 3 of my mice. and its the only one that does it. any fix for that?

its enough but for some reason when im playing a game, it keeps crashing and telling me my computer is running out of memory which i think is weird considering theres hardly anything on the computer to take up the memory.

but you're very right about the graphics card, i do plan on getting a new one eventually... if i can keep my bills caught up and save enough for it lol. the cpu seems fine and its pretty active. never had an issue with anything other than running out of memory for some reason.

Sort this out a little bit for us, because i had a little trouble reading this.

What issues do you have?

Bad USB port.

What do you have? (download speccy and post a screenshot)

(CPU: FX 4300) outdated CPU.
(GPU: ??) If you don't have one say that.

You can reuse your HDD.

What is your actual budget? (That you want to spend. Currency and all, as the dollar could represent USD, AUD, CAD, ETC.)

So far I have the bad USB port, the outdated CPU, a 1 TB HDD (The hard drive is fine it just doesn't have enough space. i have a lot of games and movies that i keep so i need another HDD or SSD) but as i said before my computer keeps running out of memory. I'm not sure if its ram, or if its my graphics memory.

That still doesn't help. We don't know if you're using American dollars, Canadian dollars, Euro, British Pounds, ect. We also do need a budget not "whatever i can get the best deal on." We don't know your money situation, $200 might be too much for you but we don't know that. Just put any number that won't put you in a bad spot financially and that will be your budget.

Black Ops 3 has had very bad memory leaks in the past. 11 GB is more than enough for that game, don't know how you ended up with 11 GB exactly but it's more than enough for Black Ops 3. Multiple friends I play with have 8 GB or RAM and we used to play Blops 3 for hours on end no problem. A memory leak will eventually make you "run" out of memory and give this error or just straight up crash your PC.
