Chris Bosh waived, jersey will be retired

After some time battling with blood clot complications (and still is battling), Chris Bosh has finally been waived by the Miami Heat and his jersey will be retired. He will still be paid the $52 million that's owed to him from his contract but his waive cleared cap space for the Miami Heat, from $9 million to $34 million.

He helped the Heat go to 4 straight Finals from 2011-2014 and in all, averaged 18 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game during his time with the Miami Heat. He hasn't ruled out playing basketball again but it certainly won't be with the Miami Heat.

Gordon Hayward to sign with Boston Celtics, 4-year $128 million contract

The former Utah Jazz small forward has signed with the Boston Celtics for a whopping 4-year, $128 million contract. Seems like Rudy Gobert's emojis couldn't keep his former teammate to stay with the team.

Nick Young signs with Warriors; 1-year, $5.2 million contract

The Warriors are also adding to their arsenal along with the rest of the West. There were talks that the Warriors were in between Jamal Crawford or Nick Young in the free agency signing and seems like Nick Young was the better fit. They might still be going for Jamal Crawford, who knows? I've never been a big fan of Nick Young but he's a good player.

Dion Waiters signs with the Miami Heat; 4-year, $52 million contract

Dion Waiters has signed with the Miami Heat (they desperately need a team if they want to be relevant again) to a 4-year, $52 million contract. He was averaging 15.8 points per game and 4.3 assists per game as well. Let's see if the Heat make any more moves to start building a team that has a bright future.

Kelly Olynyk agrees to sign with the Miami Heat to a 4-year, $50 million contract

Former Celtics big man, Kelly Olynyk, has apparently signed with the Miami Heat to a 4-year, $50 million contract after the Celtics released him to clear cap space for Gordon Hayward. I never considered him a dirty player since that drama that ocurred during the Playoffs, he's just a rough player and plays rough. He'll be a great addition to the Miami Heat, alongside Hassan Whiteside and company.

Rudy Gay signs with the San Antonio Spurs; 2-year, $17 million contract

Even after some rumors (and a picture on Enes Kanter's Twitter of there being a new locker with his name), Rudy Gay has signed with the San Antonio Spurs to a 2-year, $17 million contract. I don't know if it's because they're the San Antonio Spurs but every time they make a signing, it seems like a great move.

Not a fan of what the Celtics are doing. Great, you get Hayward, but you're going to lose Olynyk, Crowder, Bradley, etc. How is that even worth it? If you're getting a top tier player then sure, but Hayward isn't a top tier player.

I'm surprised they would even pay such a high quantity to a player who hasn't been noticed in the NBA until last season. They already lost Olynyk to the Heat, they traded Avery Bradley over to the Pistons in exchange for Marcus Morris (whoever that is) and the Pistons pulled the offer they had on Kentavius Caldwell-Pope which now makes him a UFA. The Celtics are making free agency a mess at the moment and they're not getting any better either.

I am glad that Giannis Antetokounmpo made clear that he's not going anywhere from Milwaukee after some rumors surfaced that he would be traded.

I'm glad "The Greek Freak" keeps his talents in Milwaukee as it seems he's revived the team, along with his teammates of course.

Dirk Nowitzki, according to a report made by Business Insider, has lost $194 million with all the "discount contracts" he's made with the Dallas Mavericks. He was signed to a 2-year, $10 million contract by the Mavs this week; that's definitely a discount contract. He may be almost at the end of his career but you have players (like Hayward) receiving max contracts when they were barely noticed until a year or two ago. Here's the Business Insider article that states all of the info about this issue.

The Heat have made some key signings this week, since letting Chris Bosh go cleared up some cap space for them. They signed James Johnson to a 4-year deal (don't know what the amount of money was) along with Kelly Olynyk, who I think will make a great addition.

Apparently, Jamal Crawford is showing extreme interest in joining the Cavs as he's sat down with LeBron James to talk business. Another 3-point menace for the Cavs? But, would they have to let someone go from the team to be able to sign Jamal Crawford?

Speaking about the Mavs, they're interested in signing D-Rose. I used to be a huge D-Rose fan back when he was in Chicago and his explosiveness wasn't deteriorated by constant injuries; I hope he picks back up and starts anew but it seems like every season is just another injury or he re-injures his ACL. Sadly, I think he'll retire next year or the year after if there were instances that he would be injured again.

I'm glad the Knicks let that asshat Phil Jackson go and can now find someone competent to run the front office.

Giannis with the Kendrick quote though, gotta love it. I don't know why he'd leave Milwaukee anyways. But yeah, not a fan of what the Celtics are doing. Hayward will only get better but meh.
