There's a few cars that would fit your criteria. Me personally I'd stay away from the Corsa. Astra however is a good choice. You could also go with a 1.6 Golf TSi, Alfa Romeo Giulietta Lusso, Audi A3 1.6 TDi, Suzuki Swift. At this moment in time I can't really think of many more 5 door hatcbacks besides the Focus ST and the Fiesta. Me personally, if I was looking into a hatchback I'd go with a 3 door. But if I was having to stick with a 5, I'd probably go with a golf.

I like corsas but their 'teen' reputation is poor if you know what I mean. My sister wouldnt recommend VWs as they break a lot (she worked for them).

if you ask someone who works for another company you probably gonna get the same answer. She worked for them so of course she is gonna see a lot of broken ones if you know what i mean.

She worked for multiple dealerships (like 5) and VW is the worst

Just get a MK5 Golf, I can tell you now that it will be far more reliable than a Vauxhall. Most Vauxhalls are good for 150K miles whereas most VW's are good for double that.
