The problem you might be having is looking at different videos that aren't for your exact router. Routers are different and because of that videos can be extremely inconsistent, one video might have you go into options, another might have you go into advanced options, one could be wireless settings, another could be a gaming tab. Your best bet is finding your exact router and googling how to open/forward ports on that specific router. I can type up a general rule of what to do, but things may be different due to your router.

Try to find the port you want before starting anything. For example if you're trying to create a port forward for Black Ops 3 on your Xbox One, these would be the ports exactly for Black Ops 3. Whatever you're trying to port forward, look up the port numbers and keep them on hand as you will need them later.

Open up CMD by pressing Windows Key + R and typing CMD, then hit enter.

Once CMD is up type ipconfig and press enter.

I believe this part can be different for others. You either copy your IPv4/6 address or your Default Gateway address. I mention it could be different because in my previous house with that router I had to use both IPv4 and IPv6 to go into router settings but with this router I need to use Default Gateway.

In whatever browser you use, paste the IP address you copied and press enter. You will be at your router login in screen. To login, you have to use your router's login information. This is NOT the information you use to connect to your router on a PC, console or phone, instead this is the actual login. Each router is different with the login, if you haven't changed any of these settings, it'll be the default settings. This site can help you find the default username and password if your router is listed. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Once logged in this is where things are different per router. You want to find a tab that mentions settings and what you're looking for is anything that gives a hint to forwarding and/or port triggering. From there you should have the option to click anything about adding a custom port/service. Once in there make sure port forwarding is the one ticked if it has more than 1 option. Name the port whatever you want. Which service type to be used depends on what you're trying to port forward, but I would imagine you would be using the TCP/UDP option either way. From there you should be able to put in the start and ending port, which you should have from searching for the port listing you need. There should be a box where you type in your IP again; however that may be the last digit needed so fill that in again. If there's a box that says enable, click that and if anywhere on that page has a button to save, make sure you save.

This is just a general explanation of how it is done. Your router settings will more than likely be different, which is why it's a better idea to search for your specific router and look for a tutorial there. If you can't find a tutorial on your specific router, try your router's brand for a tutorial. For the most part router brands will share the same layout unless there is an age difference such as a Cisco router from 2003 and a Cisco router in 2017.

Depends on your router like said above.

Open CMD > ipconfig > copy your gateway address probably a 192.168 address.

Paste in browser. Login with creds on the back of the hub.

Do your port forwarding thing there
