I am working a DUI checkpoint on Friday evening.
Saturday I am also working.
Sunday I will be visiting an old Army buddy with my wife and daughter.

I think it's extremely disrespectful for people to party and get sloppy drunk on memorial weekend. It's one thing to have a beer or two but people treat it as an excuse to go down the shore and party and just get sloppy and I think it's wrong. As for me, I will be working

Going fishing with a big group of friends from work. Then we're all coming back to my place and probably have a big cookout and such.

I'm not from America so I don't celebrate the holiday, however I send my respect to America for the ones who risked their lives for their country. It's a great thing to do for what you believe is right, god bless

I don't understand the reasoning here.
Soldiers fought and fight for freedom. If someone is expressing that freedom by getting spandangled with the knowledge that the only reason they can do that is because soldiers fought and died for their freedom then what's the problem?
