I want to add onto this OP. I don't know where you live now so I don't know the money situation but seeing as you have a family, I'm assuming you need a 3 bedroom house or more. Be expecting to pay easily 3k or higher for a house and living in a decent area. Rent in California is ridiculous for a single parent, a person living on their own without having money and even families if they're raising kids and only one parent is working; unless the single working parents is making something like $40 an hour. Just to give a run down, my houses since moving out of my mother's house at 17 have been as following.

Lake Forest, Orange County - 2 bedroom apartment: $1950 a month
Mission Viejo, Orange County - 2 bedroom condo: $1900 a month
Irvine, Orange County - 3 bedroom house: $2300 a month
Oceanside, San Diego - 5 bedroom house: (don't ask why I had one for one person lol) $2700 a month, only was cheap because I had to do repairs on the house myself, original contract was $3150 a month
Irvine, Orange County - 4 bedroom house: $3900 a month
Tustin, Orange County - 3 bedroom house: $2950 a month
Lake Forest, Orange County - 3 bedroom house: $3000 a month

Yet, when I moved to Colorado for a little bit, 3 bedroom house with an acre and a half of land didn't even scrape a price above 2k. Places like Minnesota I was finding 5 bedroom houses with 2 acres of land for less than $1100. Maybe you can get some sort of discount through your new job to at least cover your moving and/or partial new house expense such as security deposit and pet deposit (if any), because I wouldn't put it pass that you will easily be sinking about 7k+ into this move if the home owner is trying to charge first and last month's rent, plus any other fees, then your moving fee, gas, food, ect. If you're planning to move to Northern California, best of luck, because that's apparently more expensive in places like San Fransisco. If you have the savings already, that would ease your stress with the move, but I would still ask if your job offering can help with anything seeing as you HAVE to relocate. Either way, best of luck with your decision and if you do move out here, hope you can deal with the shit bags that live in a damn bubble, a lot of SJW freaks around here.
Exactly what i was saying though.

I have a wife and new born daughter. I live in Texas and currently pay 950$ for a two bedroom condo in a very nice town..

I would stay at your current job man.

Seems like the cons outweighs the pros.

Also having a new born and you said you love your job now and don't really like that place anyways, just seems like a lot more your adding to your plate.

Keep being a good father and serving your community.

God bless

I would rather stay with the same job atm, Cause i would never want to move away from my home where i grew up, Then again it would be good to move cause of the pay would be good, So its kinda in a slump, I would suggest sitting down with family members and having a talk with your wife.

I don't know if you'll care much about my input, but putting money and relocation issues completely aside I think it's important to consider whether or not you're the type of person who regrets things easily and daydreams about what could have been, or whether you're the type of person who just says, "Well what happened, happened. Get on with it."

If you're the type to regret things easily and worry that you've made the wrong choice, I'd go for it.
If not and you tend to be more pragmatic I'd stick where you are.

Obviously the money and relocation issues are big things to consider, but other people with much more knowledge have already talked about that.

All the best.

I accept input from anyone, no matter what your political stance, race, gender.

We are all humans.

Thank you for the input, bud.

I'd stay if I were you. You say you don't like Cali, which is already bad enough if the job is there, and the move would probably be too much. Not sure if you listed where you live either so I can't really comment if it's that big. The raise would be nice if it was in a different state. California is insanely expensive to live in and it's not very good to live there if you have a family unless you live in a really good area.

I think you should stay at your current job... You're already in a good situation, no need to force yourself to do something if you're already making good money

Join ICE bro and help get these illegal immigrants out of here. I'd be up in there if I was 21

The real questions is, can you take your guns to cali?

If you do take the ICE job and I get my job that'd be cool.
I grab em, you tag em.
