Dangerous to other drivers because it makes it harder for me to see? Or? We usually have the dome light on if we stop somewhere to eat on our way out of town so my fiance can see... I don't have a hard time seeing wh3n it's on so I've never had a problem with it... like the other person said.. would you actually stop someone for just the dome light or would you kinda blow it off?

While your vehicle is in motion within a metropolitan area, is it illegal. My suggestion is to to just use your phone light or figure out a different option.

My personal opinion, if i was patroling and saw someone with their overhead light on while driving. I would stop them to inform them that it's against the law. I wouldn't give them a citation as it's a dumb offense and a simple mistake.

just because police officers have to uphold the law doesn't mean they agree with certain things, this being one of them.

In my opinion if an overhead light is on in a car, I'm looking for someone rolling a blunt lol. But second, if an overhead light distracts another driver as dim as it is, the "distracted driver" shouldn't be on the road cuz they more than likely have a serious attention span problem to get distracted by something as subtle as that.

It's not a distraction to other drivers so much as it makes it harder for the driver of the vehicle with the dome light on to see.

I work security and I have to drive around through 800 acres of woods night. I drive with the overhead light on at night sometimes I need to see the map and my residential list 96% of the time lol. Makes it so convenient for me
