I have used my headset for a while now and it randomly stopped working, I tried my other microphone and that does not work either. When I restart my computer I can see the level of the microphone working then it slowly starts to die down and the level goes all the way down. I'm also getting an error that says
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

A request for the USB device descriptor failed.

FIX 1: Go to headset properties, and go to the advanced tab and make sure the option "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device.

FIX 2: I had this problem once, turned out I had a trojan virus. A temp fix for this is to open your task manager, then go to Details, then go find the "Svchost.exe" and beside that it should have your user name. Right click "End Task" beside the programs that have your user name beside them. After that get a trojan antivirus and scan your pc.
