So my mate and I who live together have started to play GTA V on PC again as we don't use our consoles anymore and we are just a little confused on the businesses in the MC part of the game. I purchased the $975,000 cocaine place and I'm wondering..

1.For the product to be produced, do we need to be in game? In the same lobby etc.? Or will it run while we are offline? Can we do missions be in a different server etc?

2. If yes, how can we sit there and avoid being kicked for idling if we're waiting for production? I heard you can sit in the apartment and watch TV and you won't be kicked for idling.
