For those of you who have been cashiers, what's the hardest part about it?

Put your card and pass in, choose your amount and enter.
I think you're thinking of an ATM?
A cash register is the machine that cashiers use to handle money, e.g giving customers their change and taking their money.
I've never used a cash register so I wouldn't know but I'd imagine it would be easy enough once you've got the hang of it.

Nothing is really hard about it. Only thing that was hard when i worked at bilo was figuring out the difference between two types of vegatables and being able to remember all the pcu codes for them

This.
Our registers are super old and after we started accepting chip transactions it made everything extremely slow as well.

Hardest part imo is counting the shitty change (totalling like £13 in coppers and silvers) they give you whilst being under pressure with a snail of customers.

Refunds, people, people asking for change. I hate it all. -_-
I don't even do it all the time. Like 3-4 hours a week and I still hate it.
