Ok, but FOOT-BALL. You kick the ball with your foot? Hence it being football

During Field Goals, Kickoffs, and Punts it's kicked. Need I say more?

Only time it ISN'T kicked in football is throw ins or sometimes from the goalie... 99% of the time its the foot compared to handegg where you pick it up with your hand and run with it

This is just "are you from the UK or US?" with a different title.

NFL = Football.

But as long as it's kicked it can be considered football

Both.

In both games you kick a football and in both games you carry a football in your hands and throw it.
The semantic rivalry over which game deserves to hold the name is inane in my opinion.

US football has less to do with kicking the ball but one of the major aspects of the game is the field goal which is done by kicking the ball.
I'm from the UK so if anyone says "Football" to me I think of our version, but the other version is just as valid and deserves to hold the name just as much.

Football > Soccer

To someone from the UK you just said the equivalent of

Spaghetti > Spaghetti

NFL - spend more time standing still and playing adverts than actually using ball. Need I say more?
