Looking at getting a new computer for simple things like coding mod menus for PS3 and doing a small bit of graphic design (2d, not 3d). I was looking at Mac computers on craigslist and found a Mac Mini the guy used for photoshop and various other adobe applications and I searched them up and found this [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] with all the specs I would need. It already has enough ram to do my coding, graphic design, and enough for me to sit and stream movies. I don't want a laptop, Nor a big ass desktop. Simple and easy to take with me on the go if I need to. I do enjoy mac but don't have the 1000+ dollars to buy one i'd like to have. So has anyone had any experience with these or currently has one?

it will work for lightweight work.
That thing is not made for 3d design to be honest with you, the i5 is a dual core so C4D would bitch at it
You can build a mini ITX pc but not nearly as small as the mini, maybe shoe box bear minimum. but if you are sold on mac i guess that is a fair choice depending on the price you're paying.

It'll pretty much be for doing strictly 2d designs and illustrating, so it should be good for what I want. And there's tons of options for the Mac mini such as going to 16gb ram and a dual core i7 processor, but sadly doing that costs well over 1200$ . It'd be super nice to buy it fully loaded, but for what I need it for I should be good with the i5, 8gb, and 1tb harddrive. All I'd need to buy is a new wireless keyboard and mouse to go with it and maybe a new monitor. But I can get all that stuff on Craigslist relatively cheap.

Id recommend getting one with an SSD & using an external HDD as storage, it will help massively for the OS usage.
Other than that, the specs are sufficient enough. Don't expect it to handle heavy graphics design & rendering though.
