Before bed place your alarm a good distance away from your bed so you have to fully get up and walk some steps just to turn it off. Good luck with the new job.

You should try to get meds that do not have sedatives in them!

Talk to your doctor about getting your drugs without sleep aids for work.

Allow your body to get at least 8 hours of sleep

Just get up. When your alarm goes off it's your only option weather you think you can squeeze more time or not, just get up. When you get sleep deprived you start going to bed earlier to wake up earlier. I also don't like to take anything to make me sleep because I feel worse in the morning than if I only got a couple hours of sleep. Once you go to bed, don't do anything. Even if you just roll and roll for hours, don't get on the computer, don't get on the phone, don't even open your eyes. Just lay there until you go to bed. It's hard but it could be worse.

Make an alarm that slaps you or punches you so you waken.

Set your alarm for 3.45am and 4am.

When you wake up at 3.45am, you will realise you still have an extra 15mins in bed so you dose off again but not into deep sleep. When you wake up at 4am you will not feel as tired.

Give it a try!

It works for me every morning. I hardly ever sleep in or have struggle waking up anymore because its just a routine now. Get a coffee on the go whilst you're in the shower or something & you will be set for the morning.
