People do tend to take the whole, "This is a community of friends" thing too far.
If you're leaving, or coming back, or telling people why you were gone, message the people you actually talk to privately.
Saying this with as much kindness as I can muster, the vast majority of us don't know who you are and don't really care either.

If you were a staff member or one of those top 5 poster people then maybe I could understand this post being made, or if you were Greg because I'm pretty sure that he has gifted all 2 million members at least once.

But I'm open to having this view changed, feel free to reply and tell me why I'm wrong.
