13 wrote I wouldn't build anything if I had a $2.5k budget. Ryzen is less than 2 and a half months away. The 1080Ti should release around the same time and Vega isn't far off either. Skylake/Kaby Lake CPU could be fine, so it might not be worth just waiting for Ryzen but it's not worth building a high end system right now since new GPUs are so close and I can guarantee a 1080Ti or Vega equivalent is what you want for this budget.

Like he said if you can wait then wait if you want to build now then this is what i have for you, the case itself has a PWM fan hub i added 2 extra case fans(make sure if you get this you buy the PWM version of the fans for the cpu to be aboe to control them)one to exhaust through the top and the other to intake through the bottom, the hub can take up to 6 fans on it (2 included with case cpu fan and 2 extra i included) you'll want to plug it into the cpu fan header for it to work properly, the 1000 watt power supply is a little over kill but will give you a decent amount of room to do good OC on both GPU's and the CPU, i have the monitor and it is honestly beautiful no problems with it, i woulld highly suggest it, if you want to save a bit of money you can change out the samsung 850 evo for a crucial mx300 525GB

If you had to build now, I'd get this;

SLI GTX 1070s will probably perform similarly to the 1080Ti or its Vega equivalent. Since the 1080Ti and Vega are so close, it's just worth waiting IMO. Ryzen 8C/16T could be a good shout if it's competitive with a 7700k, or maybe even better. You can get the K70 RGB with MX Speed switches instead of MX Blues for $10 less. K55 is a trash keyboard, do not buy it. 1000W PSU is totally unnecessary.

A normal one usually comes with your mobo

If you plan on using 10 series cards in sli a high bandwith bridge really makes a difference
I have 2 gtx 1080's and evga offers their own and most other companys offer them as well, nvidia offers there own but its a little on the conservative side, based on your mobo whether the pcie x16 comes first or the pcie x1 will determine what slotting sli bridge you'll need

If the x16 comes first then the x1 followed by the either x8 or x16 slot you'll need the 2 slot spacing if its the other way around you'll only need a 1 slot

Most motherboards come with one or more SLI bridges. You'll want to use 2 normal SLI bridges or a high bandwidth SLI bridge for SLI GTX 1070s.
