First off sorry for my multiple posts about pc building. Just as I'm about to dive into the world of computers I alway get told to either wait for prices to go down or wait until February for AMD's new cpu. So before I buy my components(which seem to have gone up by 100's of gbp) is it worth waiting? Thanks.

Depends. How quickly do you need a system? How much are you spending? What do you plan on using the system for exactly? Ryzen should be early-mid March from the looks of it. AM4 boards apparently coming end of Feb.

It will most likely be the same in performance as intels new kabylake processors, if it were me i would by now with an already existing z170 board the 270 boards are too new to see the quality of them and when those processors and boards release for ryzen it'll be the same thing, if you decide to build now with intel update your topic with budget and needs, check the sticky on how to request a build it'll show you everything you need there

For anyone confused;
Forums/t=7667999/1200-gbp-gaming-build.html

You've gone from £600, to £1200, and now to £1600? Why do you keep getting more money to throw at this system?

Regardless, £1600 is a high end budget so if you were waiting for Zen, you'd probably be looking at one of the 8 core chips. However, an i5/i7 would be perfectly sufficient and can be purchased now. For high end systems, it makes more sense to wait for Vega/1080Ti than it would to wait for Zen.

The answer to that 13, my birthday was last year where I got £600 and saved it, got another £600 + monitor for Christmas,so I subtracted monitor costs. and as a early present for this years birthday I'm getting £400 since for the past 2 years I've only asked for money. Hope this explains mate

So, you've got a monitor? What monitor are you using as that's incredibly relevant. If it's something you can easily get sufficient components for, then you can build a system now. If you've got a high end monitor, it'll be worth waiting for Vega/1080Ti.

The Monitor is a Samsung 27" CFG70 with FreeSync(my parents bought it an they didn't know what freesync/gsync was) should I wait considering this?

Yeah, I'd just wait for Vega. Otherwise, your best bet right now for a GPU is an RX 480, which is a mid ranged GPU and does not belong in your budget. An RX 480 would be fine for 1080p but since you have a 144Hz Freesync, QDOT panel, I'd really just hold off a little as even lower end Vega should be a really good option for you. If you wait for Vega, Ryzen will also be out by then so two birds with one stone if you like. Or you could get an Intel CPU, build your system now without a GPU and add a Vega card once they release. Or I guess you could even use a lower end card for now and replace it with a Vega chip.
