Nothing particularly triggered this or anything but overtime it's annoying seeing things like this happen.
Basically it's annoying seeing arguments over music or clothing or even anything to be honest. Shit like art or whatever.
No one persons opinion is correct or is valued more than anothers opinion.
For example
Here there are two "rappers" (I find it hard to define the word rapper) who clearly have different styles.
I'm not going to grab quotes or nothing but for the first video people call it stupid, lyrically awful doesn't mean anything etc. This is generally regarded as "good" based off sound or in the mood that it creates.
Music to be enjoyed by someone wanting to have fun.
The second is criticised for not having a particularly catchy sound or whatever. This is generally regarded as "good" based of lyrical content. Music that can be appreciated on a "deeper" level because it requires thought.
Basically I'm just annoyed at seeing constant arguments over this.

The definition of music: vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion. Of course it's a form of art so it's the individual who decides the worth of a song or album.
So taking this into account, someone can create a sound which is beautiful and talk about anything,regardless the sound still holds it's value. It's still held as a good sound.
I'm getting really tired of this whole argument, coming from someone who has Eminen's first album and a few others. I don't value lyrical content as much as sound. Although I still appreciate lyrical content and have 25+ CD's in my collection which would fall into this category
It's quite simple to create "deep lyrics" when given enough time however it's extremely difficult to form a sentence which sounds well. It may not look like it but at times a rapper may give more time to actually making something sound good rather than what he is in actual fact saying.
Take a very popular sub genre of rap, Trap and take it's figure, Future
"Now I'm back grippin' that Uzi
I'll **** that bitch cause she's bougie
I **** that ho cause she choose me
Sip on my cup, it's a movie"
Then take a lyrical rapper as you said Eminem
"His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy
There's vomit on his sweater already, mom's spaghetti"
Lose Yourself is a great song in my opinion
At face face value the first line is written incredibly well with rhymes within an actual line. Of course Future's line doesn't compare.
However when in song, with the instrumental it can be easily argued that future SOUNDS better. It doesn't mean as an actual artist eminem is weaker because he isn't.
basically making comparisons is stupid. Evidently good in there own rights.
It's similar to arguments about Renaissance and Modern Art, I,e expressionism or whatever
for example
Both in their fields incredibly different. Many can argue why this painting or this song is better but there is no correct answer.
Probably talking a lot of shit but basically I don't know why people think there opinions mean so much when they don't.
Or when people confuse having an opinion with having an idea or belief about something to be fact.
People need to stop being so ignorant and talking and looking down on others for having the opposite opinions because no one answer to something is correct. Everything is good in it's own right.

That's why I usually refrain from putting any kind of opinion on forum boards or my personal Facebook page. At least 1+ people will disagree, depending on if they respond in a negative way could damage a friendship depending on how important the subject matter is.
Either way I agree, nobody's opinions are correct.

Music is art, art is subjective. Art is meant to create some sort of sensation and if it does that to atleast ONE person then the piece weather it be music or whatever has done its job. I agree with you, I cant stand arguing with people over menial shit. There is a difference in discussing an artist and saying like "well I dont like this and that and I think they could do this and that" and "hes trash and I like this person, how can you like this person they are doodoo" etc.
Discussion is healthy, unfortunately some people cant do it properly without turning it into an argument.

There is a such thing as a correct opinion, it's called iApplePro's opinion. Haha, I'm totally just kidding with you. I could not agree more with this post though! It's so annoying when someone's opinion is the right way. No it's not. Opinion's and fact's are totally different.

its all on what the one person likes and enjoys that makes there opinion for example i have a friend that thinks some off the music he listens to is amazing and when im around and he plays it i feel like im dying inside lol

lmao did you even see the whole point of the argument pretty ironic as this is one of the main things I am talking about not going to bring up a whole argument but not seeing past an opinion because of that is pretty ignorant.
The whole point is you saying he is bad means nothing and someone saying he's good means nothing because opinions are not facts
