I know this has probably been done a million times, but it needs to be brought some attention too..
Now I know this topic will get a minimum of one response saying "Why does this affect you". Very simple answer it doesn't.
The idea of the topic doesn't annoy me, it is the fact that people are literally just making topics based upon what they're thinking about at that time now.
It is just pointless, and I am at blame here because I myself have done that. Plenty of times.
But when it comes to topics that were posted the day before just on a page back being remade everyday. It tends to get to be very annoying.
EXAMPLE TIME
Goal topics - you see at least two of these a week.
How is your day/week going - at least two a week once again.
Rate this/these/my *insert topic here* - daily
Now while these are common they are based in off topic, and yes off topic is for off topic. With that being said, these topics are fine, but seeing them every day two or three times throughout it sometimes does get sort of annoying.
Sure I understand that some people do it for post count. That is fine, but just making a lot of topics, and or replying to one of your topics several times to boost it is pointless. You don't have to reply to every single person, sure sometimes they are okay but not every post.
Alright bring the hate you know you want to.

Gotta admit I make these kind of posts but reason being is most people don't really want to read paragraphs some people want things that are a basic topic that they can get on and make a comment. If say I limit a post to something only adults can reply to it leaves others out yanno.

I have seen this multiple times it gets annoying that's why I stay in the gold member fourms you don't see it as much there

Yes i agree with your topic as i do it myself sometimes, not to boost my post count but mostly because im bored and i like interaction with people which is why im in the shoutbox alot. Yes people post pointless shit, they even copy other peoples topics and post them for their own.

I agree with you mitochondria. It pisses me off to see "what do you get at Wendy's" or "what's your favorite color" . I honestly don't give a **** what your favorite color is. Stop treating the site like a social media site and start treating it like a gaming and technology forum.

They might be repetitive but it what keeps the fourm active and keeps me coming back to that fourm. I like seeing other peoples goals what there favourite things are etc. Its called Off Topic for a reason.

Sadly I couldn't agree more; "What is your favourite brand of biscuit?".... seriously ? Why is this needed ? What more do you learn about other users from this topic. It doesn't add some sort of mysterious ere to a user if they like hobnobs over rich tea biscuits.

In my opinion it makes the section active in a way for people to post on the topic no matter how shabby the topic is. Until TTG gets more active members the staff then will dellete the topic's. This is what I think anyways. If people wanna boost count let it be it and let them carry on. Doesn't it seeing people spamming does it?
