Yeah I was looking at that upgrade! I am not 100% on what it does. Does it give better fuel pressure or makes the injectors last longer or something? I see that it is a very common upgrade on many trucks

The original spring lost tension fast and allowed fuel pressure to drop below the recommended pressure (I think 45 PSI?). The new FPR kit (we all know it as blue spring) Ford put out bumps the fuel pressure up to 62-65 PSI.

I'm not sure if Ford put out an actual TSB on this, but the whole issue was that once you got below 45 PSI it just wasn't enough for the injectors and they would start to go bad and as we all know injectors aren't fun or cheap to replace lol.

Oh gotcha, thanks. So does it make the truck run smoother or just extends the life of the injectors? I know injectors are super expensive for sure.

It extends the life of the injectors, the truck might run a bit better if your current spring is weak.

Yeah it probably hasn't been touched since 2004 so I might go ahead with this upgrade. Thanks for all your help man, really appreciate it!
