Toshiba Satellite L775 w/ Windows 10

The computer turns on and goes directly to a black screen with the Toshiba Leading Innovations logo. At the bottom left corner it says "Press <2> to enter setup" and Press <F12> to enter BOOT MENU.

Pressing F12 and F2 does nothing. I tried factory resetting the CP by powering off, holding zero and powering on... does nothing.

Not sure what button combination I am pressing but I have been able to reach 3 other screens by smashing the buttons out of anger. A completely blank screen, a screen that reads "A disk read error occurred - Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart," and the Aptio Setup Utility page.

I have been able to get back to all 3 pages multiple times and am currently on the Aptio Setup Utility. I have options for Main, Security, Power Management, Advanced, Boot, and Exit with more options in each one. So I am able to make changes to any of the categories and then exit...

Before this entire issue occurred, this computer was Updating a disk drive or something related to the disk drive for well over 8hours. The next morning its stuck on that Toshiba screen, so maybe its related to the disk drive?

I don't care if information gets wiped, my mom just uses it for browsing the internet. Thanks for whoever can help me.

Sounds like you either have a failing HDD or a corrupted OS. Try making a USB windows 10 installer and running it on the laptop.
