The FBI on Friday sent out an alert of a possible terrorist attack on Thanksgiving, according to CBS News, citing a bulletin.
The federal law enforcement agency, in alerting officials across the U.S., said there could potentially be a terrorist attack on Inauguration Day on Jan. 20, 2017.
The alert named shopping malls, special events, and crowded venues as potential targets for homegrown terrorists, CBS reported. Washington D.C. and parts of Virginia were called target-rich areas, and possible tactics include bomb attacks, mass shootings, or drones equipped with IEDs, the report said.
The alert follows the publication of al-Qaedas infamous Inspire magazine, which also named the Macys Thanksgiving Day parade as an excellent target for a terrorist attack.

I don't see why not. Maybe not Thanksgiving, won't be a lot of people out. But Black Friday would be PERFECT. Thousands of people out, in huge crowds.

I'm not sure why it's news. Literally each year this country is put on high alert during the holidays and nothing has happened that's been drastic. Hopefully this year is the same. However I don't need to worry bout drone carrying bombs or trash can bombs in my moms basement.

Ah, this is got going to be good for the nation if this is actually true. This reminds me of the world order, terrorists are coming in everywhere and *trying* to destroy a part of a nation. It's horrible to hear things like this though.

This is all a distraction. What we really need to be worried about is our stuffing mines. What's thanksgiving without stuffing??

Security warnings go out at all popular time periods, Christmas there will most likely be high warnings in the most populated areas because of principle, popular time, in popular place = extra populated = higher risk. Nothing to worry about, no need to overthink or even plan around the warnings, because they're just principle and have to be given out.
