Welcome to CustomFirmware's Gift of Gold Competition! [Ended]

The Story Behind This Giveaway
I have been on this site for 2 years now and have been gifted gold 5 times, however i haven't given anything back. Although I may have held free gfx shops on the odd occasion but i feel the need to do something for the community which you would all appreciate, in which case i have decided to hold a Gift of Gold Competition out of respect towards the community and also to celebrate my 2 year member milestone.

How To Enter
Post below why you would like to be gifted gold.

The competition will end in 24 hours and the winner will be chosen at random via a random number generator going by your post #number. I may extend the time by another 24 hours if i feel not enough members have entered just to give more the opportunity.

Thanks for hosting the give away, I wasn't active for a while due to personal reasons where I was unable to, I also broke my laptop but managed to recently take it apart and fix it randomly so I can be more active now.
Although Im finding it hard to figure out this new layout as its very different to the other one I reckon I could get involved again and host some give aways of my own soon.
Thanks again good luck all

'Sell me this pen', I'm not going to sell you why I deserve gold, I'm just going to show you.

This was me at the young age of 6, We were a poor family, all we needed was 'help', we generalised what we needed to just the word 'help' because anything, even a torn up ragged cloth, could have been used to better our lives. Help was anything, asking for money was too specific because money is no object on the streets, with no safe place, in the cold, dark alleys. Muggers were too often, we did not keep things for long. Police wouldn't help as they saw us as scum, and we were usually too afraid to turn up in a police station, with the fear of them telling us to get out as they have no room for us to sleep. Pity. A young man came along and offered me a job.

After 9 years battling nature on the streets, my family scraping whatever food and water rations they could find us for the night, a young man, around 19, offered me a job after seeing me in the local library, fixing the broken computers for any spare food scraps that were left. I'd learnt how to do this through reading 'Dummies Guide to ICT 101' and several other books I had found on the floor. After 3 years of working in the Largest ICT corporation in Minnesota, I was living quite the happy life, my family had a home, we had food and water every night, and I was the one providing it, I had expendable income. Realizing how much it had cost me to achieve my ideal, steady life, it was only £150,000. Making this total every year I was more than happy to start saving for a big project. £150,000 was enough for a house for 4 people, fully paid, a car, with full tax, gas and MOT, and food and water for the next 10 years for a family of 4.

This was me, aged 19, I'd saved up my entire spending for the year, after living off my expendable income from the previous, I finally had enough for my big project. Excuse the watermark in the bottom of the photo, this was uploaded to the local 'Getty Images' project, helping youths achieve higher skills in photography and other areas of work they enjoyed.

So I had finally saved up the big amount of £150,000, enough to make a family of four live happily for 10 years. This was my project.

Me and my older brother, we stormed down to the local homeless shelter, we sat, and listened to all of their stories, and based on which story moved us the most, we came to a conclusion of who we would help. And this man... Tarantino Los San, received the home, the car and the food, providing him with safety, he secured a job, and his wife and family have also gained access to America, so they can too come and live with him. We changed his life.

And so, with my £150,000 per year, I need you to donate me the £4 worth of Gold, so I can live a slightly, better (well deserved) life, for a month.

I can't tell if this man is being serious or just being a stillborn troll.

He died for our sins, just remember that.
