Horizon edition cars are a different version of a car that is already in the game, these HE cars can provide bonuses such as additional drift score or XP or credits or skill score at the end of an event. These bonuses will NOT work in multiplayer.

The expansion pass costs $34.99/ £29.24 - Ultimate edition owners will be able to purchase the expansion pass at a discounted price
Blizzard Mountain - Snow Expansion
Australia has snow, too. They even have their own alps. Thanks to Australias diverse landscape, snow is coming to Forza for the first time. Arriving on December 13 is Forza Horizon 3s Blizzard Mountain expansion, which Microsoft and Turn 10 say will include not just snow, but extreme elevations and blizzards as well, making sure all those off-road vehicles will be put to the test. The campaign includes 50 new events with new race types including Hill Climb, Descent, and Blizzard events.
There are a few cars coming with the expansion, but dont expect anything from Ferrari or Lamborghini in here. The 2016 Ford GYMKHANA 9 Focus RS RX headlines the group, with other cars from Ford, Lancia and others suited perfectly to the snow. If you do want to take that hypercar out into the winter wonderland, snow tires will be available, too.

To enter your garage and swap cars you would normally return to one of the many Festival sites dotted around the landscape, but it's actually possible to do this from anywhere in the game it just doesn't do a very good job of telling you this.
Simply open up the main menu and use the bumper buttons to scroll to the Cars menu. You can then select the 'My Cars' option to pick another vehicle. This is very handy if you need to switch cars for a particular event or to nail a certain drift zone, but keep in mind that you'll incur a cost for doing so. If a Festival base is nearby, that's always the more sensible option.

Struggling to locate bonus boards and barns containing rare, vintage cars? It's time to put that swanky remote control drone to good use. Once you've unlocked it via the Skill menu, you can use the drone to fly around the landscape and discover bonus boards faster. Simply open up the main menu and select the 'Drone Mode' option in the bottom right corner.

Resurrect your previous Forza game designs and Vinyls
If you've already created some amazing custom designs in previous Forza games then you'll be pleased to learn that you can import both vinyls and liveries from Forza Horizon 2 and Forza Motorsport 5 and 6. Head over to paint and design area to import and or apply any of your old designs.
Drive in a convoy
You'll earn more experience points if you've got drivers at your side, so whenever you're racing around the game world make sure you recruit allies by tooting your horn at other racers. If you time this correctly they'll follow you in a convoy, and may even challenge you to a friendly race from time to time, which of course bags you XP, cash and fans.
Join a car club
Even if you have no intention of playing with other people you should join or even create your own car club. Playing the game normally in single player or online will earn you XP, the XP that you earn will move you up the weekly club tier and the higher the club tier you reach the more money you earn. Its easy money without you having to do anything different, also everyone wants a cool clan tag.
Listen to classical music for ultimate skill songs
When you listen to any of the main radio stations in Forza Horizon 3, every so often youll come across a Skill Song. Whilst that song is playing, youll net a x2 bonus to all skill points (meaning you can have a multiplier of x10, rather than the standard cap of x5). On the classical music channel, weve had skill songs that are 10 minutes long. Thats some epic skill combos you can be earning.
Unlock skill boosting perks as soon as you can
Foriza Horizon 3 will give skill points as you whizz around in races and in free roam for doing various stunts like drifts, jumps and near misses. These skill points rack up to earn you unlockable perks in three separate skill trees. Some of these perks give you boosts to your skills drifting earns you an extra 10%, Prioritize unlocking these before anything else, and youll soon be reaping the rewards and progressing way faster.
Do the street races to unlock 4 secret cars
After you start to progress in the game you will notice that some street races becomes available, if you complete these you will unlock Midnight battles. Challenge these Vin Diesel wannabe's and if you beat them you get their cars! The cars that you can win from these midnight battles are the BMW M3, Buick Regal, Mazda RX-7, and the Lamborghini Murcielago, all of these come with a widebody or Rocket bunny bodykit.
To unlock more street races you will need to win head to head races, just challenge random drivatars to do this.

Is it worth buying? How much of an improvement is it over 2? I loved Forza Horizon 2.

If you enjoyed 2 then you will love 3, the map is a lot bigger there is an auction house now, way more cars for you to mess around with. More races to do offline or online which take across much more varied terrain.
Lots of fun, I can't stop playing it.

ive never played a forza game, i enjoyed the newest need for speed that came out, also i liked the crew and i loved midnight club.
You think i could get into forza? just got some questions.
Are there shortcuts? kind of like 2k games, like you can buy currency and get cars that way. i don't enjoy games like those.
How long do you keep your starter car? in the crew you kept it for days on end and couldn't get rid of it unless you raced online with people and that was annoying also.
And how many people per lobby are there? it seemed empty when the crew had it.

There are no shortcuts, you have to earn credits to get cars, you will often get cars rewarded to you.
In FH3 you keep all of your cars unless you discard them from your garage or sell them on the auction house.
I am pretty sure the lobby can hold 12 players at one time, I am able to get into games with 5-8 people each lobby.

I enjoyed Midnight club LA and the new Need for Speed a lot as well. You would definitely enjoy Horizon 3, it incorporates all the features of those games, high speeds, street drifting, night time and daytime with varying weather, huge car list to pick from and lots of customisation and loads of different styles of race courses.
You cannot buy in game currency, however if you download the Forza hub app it tracks your Forza progression and has a level system, the higher the level you achieve the more money it will reward you with in game for Forza. You don't have to use this or claim the money if you don't want to. You can buy a treasure map which shows all of the hidden board and barn locations, this is the only pay2win in this game.
You have a choice of a couple starter cars, you will use it for a couple of races (I cannot remember how many but its no more than 5) before you win a new car of your choice out of a small selection. This will happen throughout the game, but most of the times they will not be free but just offered to you at a discounted price.
12 players in a lobby online. Before you can go online and access a few other features you will need to progress in single player first, Your second Festival expansion unlocks Online Adventure, Online Free Roam, and Co-Op Campaign, after you have unlocked the third festival expansion site and upgraded it to level 2 that unlocks Car Clubs. You can unlock online within 3 hours or less.

Yes it is so worth it, I absolutely love forza games. They always impress me.
