I've experienced this for about a month now, and I'm so sick of it. It pops up at random times while I'm on Google Chrome. I have done some research and that's how I know it's a virus. I don't have any weird programs in my programs lists, and I have tried to locate the virus in regedit to delete it but to no avail. I have also checked my extensions and add-ons for Chrome but found nothing. I'm in desperate help as I usually can get rid of viruses myself, or normally I just avoid them when downloading stuff, but this one is stubborn and hidden well or hidden in plain sight, and I'm just dumb lol. Any help is appreciated - I will reply to any questions as fast as possible and follow your guys' suggestions and report back. I'd really respect any help in my situation. I have already scanned my computer with multiple virus scanners. Including MalwareBytes, AdwareCleaner, some Spyware cleaner, CCleaner (not a virus removal program), and many others.. to no luck at all. It's so frustrating. Thank you to anyone that can help and +REP to anyone that gives me the answer that rids me of this trouble.

Run this.

Also do this.

More specifically, check for extentions and chrome apps and disable any non google.

Chrome://Extensions

Chrome://Apps

If it still happens, probably something at OS level.

As stated, Extensions and Apps were checked. I have ran the Google Chrome test thingy but it came up as nothing. Reset my Chrome, let's see if that works. Thank you

a few options you might want to try

1) restore to a point before this has started ( if at all possible )

2) back up your files and fully rebuild your OS

3)create a bootable virus scan cd you can scan your pc offline with the latest virus definitions [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

if you have the time i would suggest you go with option 2..

if not then just boot up and scan the pc, clear your %temp% & %appdata%
reinstall chrome
check through running tasks to see if anything suspicious is showing up.

Okay, so nothing so far has worked.

I have not tried and would prefer not to try the following:

- Restoring my computer to an earlier point, or restoring it period.
- Reinstalling Chrome.

Anyone have any other suggestions as to how to fix this stupid virus? It just popped up for the first time in a few days like two minutes ago when I clicked on "Home" for TTG.

Why not reinstall chrome? You can save all toolbars and passwords using a google account. Very easy to reinstall and not lose everything if that is what you are scared of.

I'm signed in through a google account, I didn't know it would all save. I'll give reinstalling chrome a shot now - thanks

It sounds a little like Adware.

I would scan with these;
Adwcleaner
Adware Removal Tool
JRT

Then Hitman Pro and then Malwarebytes.
