So my iPhone 6 is starting to get annoying and I wanna know if this is an issue other people have or if this is even an issue. My iPhone dies soooo fast, just last night I had it at 60% I woke up this morning and it was at 13%. Granted I did have heaps of notifications but does that really just drain the battery?

I was listening to music yesterday I was at 88%, I check about 2 hours later and I was at 50% WTF... I didn't even unlock the phone or anything, the screen as off the entire time I skipped 0 songs. The weird part too is that it wasn't a progressive drain it was an all at once percentage drop. I notice my phone does this, anyone experiencing this?

Somewhat similar issue I was having about 5 days ago, so I was turning off my phone to conserve battery life, and I was at 33% when I just turned it on, about 3 minutes later it turned off. I tried turning it back on and it said I needed to charge my phone, tried turning on again and it turned on just fine. I also have a 6s. I also had it reset 4 or 5 times after that while still being at 30+ %.

I personally cannot think of what would cause the battery to drain so quickly in your phone, notifications are just notifications so that should not be an issue. I know if you're in a location that is a bit secluded or where connection isn't the greatest your phone will use more power to try and get that LTE connection or whatever, which is why sometimes you will see the loading icon next to where it shows what kind of service you're getting.

Are you starting to think it's your phone battery that is causing the problems? When you go to bed tonight have it on airplane mode and see if it does the same thing.

Mmmm interesting that you bring up LTE, I do have LTE enabled at all times so you think that could be it? Im going to put my phone on airplane mode tonight and I'm also going to turn off LTE for a day and see if that changes anything.

I am traveling at the moment and am very far from home but I have not been in secluded areas or anything, been in major cities.

I'm not sure if it could be LTE that is causing it, you said that you have been in major cities all day so getting LTE should not be an issue. I want you to try out the airplane mode though, and see if you are experiencing the heavy battery life drops with airplane mode enabled.

try these

LTE off - you could be having this issue as stated above, mainly because you would be on data usage which in term takes more to operate then WiFi.

Airplane mode, and or a task killer - as stated above once again throw your phone into airplane and see if you get a different result. look into a task killer you may have a few background apps running taking up a decent bit of memory.

as for your music - that's natural for most phones to die rather quickly if dependent on music, due to the fact that it is downloading or receiving much rather then loading from local. so you're putting more power towards the network aspect of the phone. so the 88-50% drop shouldn't come as a surprise at all.

Usually airplane mode is suppose to decrease your battery charging time but I always just turn bluetooth off. That saves a lot.

Well it is now 5 in the afternoon and I've done everything I wanted in the city and my phone didn't die and that was with music playing for the most part. I turned off LTE and that did seem to help, the music that I am playing is purchased though so I don't think it would have to download anything each time a song came on.

I forgot to try the airplane mode overnight but the same huge drop in percentage happened again, I woke up with a lot of notifications and my phone went from 60ish-17 so I still dont understand what that is about, I will try the airplane mode tonight and see if that helps any.

I do know for sure my phone lasted a lot longer with LTE off.

I just woke up, its 10:43, I did this time test the airplane mode while sleeping, I went to sleep at 10 PM so in 12 hours my phone went from 52% to 16% ): . I don't understand why it dies so fast without me doing anything, it used to not do that.

what exactly do you have on in terms of GPS for some apps, and or what is running in the background? a lot of the time over night dying is caused by background hesitant apps. had that issue with skype when i had a 6 for a while.

just grab a app and check
