Yes, it's patched as of the fall update.

it still works but it takes a while to rank up, unless your rank is below five

Do you think it's still faster to do this than to play normally though?

What level did you start with when I helped you and what level did you end up with at the end?

I didn't see your reply, but it was starting with 4 and ended with 8. The thing is I never really seen how fast it was to rank up without doing this. Although after a while it did get boring, only part that made it not boring was when someone would hop in the boat and attempt to kill us.. or that guy on the cliff..
