I'm pretty sure people have been modding games as long as they have been putting them on a disc instead of a cartridge. My dad got his old computer out of the attic a few months ago and we hooked it up. It was a Commodore 64 that he got for X-mas when he was 14. He was amazed that it still worked. We put in a disc and the first game we loaded was Donkey Kong. It had a intro on it by the guys who cracked it and a +5 trainer. The date listed in the intro was 1985.

I'm 18, I've got my eye on the prize and that's getting rich. I don't have time to be playing games all the time so I'm not interested in being legit. Just having fun with friends online is my only objective.

Honestly, I don't want to see mods on Xbox anymore, sure I like them a while ago on 360, but now I absolutely don't, well besides ones that add to the game like Fallout/Skyrim/FS. As for CoD, no, I hope they don't come back. Plus I would doubt it'll be as widespread with how strict Xbox is on the Xbox One. Can't even swear at someone without getting suspended anymore.
