Just been outside changing my Engine oil on my car and noticed it coming out gunky, haven't had the car long so I know the previous owner obviously didn't really give it much attention, I always change oil with every new car I buy, but has anyone ever flushed there engine while changing oil?

Anyone recommend a good Engine flush?

Thanks.

I usually get a transmission flush once a year, and I get it done at the same time as one of my oil changes.

It's only a 1.4 SRI Vauxhall corsa, but I do like to take pride in every car I have, but thanks for your advice mate, much appreciated.

I never flush it, but if you have chunks of oil, I'd be flushing it lol. If it's just brown or black, I wouldn't worry about it. I would just take out the drain plug and do a standard oil change.

If it's white you have water in the oil and you need to find out if you have a blown head gasket or blown intake gasket.

Adding onto this, if you don't drive your car much, you will notice if you take off your oil cap it is white. This is normal because you're not working the condensation out but it doesn't hurt much. if you have the white stuff on your dipstick, that's a different story.
