The Opera web browser is "the first major browser to release a built-in VPN service."
This update (Opera 40) was released 19/09/16 so it's fairly fresh. I just noticed the VPN service this morning.
I have provided links in the spoiler under "References" to credit information provided.
I've been looking for a free and simple to use VPN for some time now and this one is right down my alley so far.
Maybe this will help you too!

The VPN service is by SurfEasy Inc and is natively included in the web browser Opera.

You can download Opera for PC, Mac, and Linux on Opera's web page [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

I have tested the VPN on Windows and it works nicely. Have not tested on Mac but it states that the VPN is included there as well. Not sure with Linux.

As of 21/09/16 I had the option of choosing between these locations.
As you can see, unlimited data. I'm also on the Netherlands Google Page which is not the country I currently reside in.
